This imposant late 60’s BAY handled vase combines a very classic shape to a bright rich glaze work in earth colors with a slight lava effect and its orange stripe, creating an unusual striking contrast.
Bay Keramik was founded by Eduard Bay in 1933.
Throughout the 1950’s and 60’s, it was one of the leading producers of commercial art pottery with wonderfully designed and decorated vases, bowls, plates, wall vases and planters.
In 1971, following a major drop of sales, the manufacture switched to producing oven cooking pots.
